Mark is Thomson Reuters’ Indirect Tax Lead for the product, and solutions consultancy team across APAC, Japan, China, and SEA. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, with over 25 years spanning across large multi-national corporates and accounting firms both in Australia and in the APAC region, including a career at both BlackRock and Nomura where he was the regional head of tax for those organisations based in Hong Kong.  With tenure both in-house as well as in advisory firms, he brings deep commercial acumen as well as technical corporate and indirect tax experience.

He has a proven ability to successfully partner across multiple tiers of corporates and shareholders to maximise returns, significantly improving finance teams, systems and processes through his ability to be hands-on when necessary.

Richard Mackender

Richard Mackender leads the GST service line for Deloitte Singapore and Southeast Asia, and the Corporate Secretarial Services for Deloitte Singapore. He has more than 20 years of experience with Deloitte. He began his career in 1997 with Deloitte UK’s VAT team in London and moved to Singapore in 2003.

Richard’s primary focus is advising businesses on the tax aspects of their activities from a Singapore perspective as well as when issues arise across Asia Pacific. Richard helped to establish the Corporate Secretarial Services offering within the organisation. The teams he leads make full use of technology and offshoring resources to deliver a consistent service in an efficient and cost-effective way.
